Hi, my name is Jennifer Vo, and I'm a typical sixteen year old girl that goes to Pacifica High School.
One aspect of my life would be volunteering at church. On my weekends, I volunteer in first grade classes for a Vietnamese Bible Program at St. Polycarp Church. My time teaching these kids about the word of God allows me to improve my leadership skills which I incorporate in another key component of my life: Music.
Music has always been a huge part of my life. I'm in Pacifica's Marching Band, and I've been playing the flute for about 7 years. In addition to volunteering at a Vietnamese Bible Program, I also play the flute for a youth choir at St. Columban. Out of all my years playing flute, I've always wanted to be able to play multiple instruments. However, I've talked myself out of doing so by making excuses like not having enough time or money. This project finally allows me to push myself out of my comfort zone and pursue my desire of playing multiple instruments. This opportunity gives me the chance to expand my musical abilities and learn a new instrument that isn't a wind instrument.
