Progress:
In my previous blog post, I played another trial of the song Happy Birthday to analyze my progress and recurring mistakes. What i noticed in the second trial was that since i became more comfortable with reading tab music, i was able to focus more on technical aspects of playing guitar. I played more fluidly and i didn't play wrong notes as much as the first trial. This time, i decided to play another song to practice my skills in reading tab music and to increase the flexibility in my fingers.

For this post, I played another well known tune called When the saints go marching in. since this song was also in the key of a major, it was relatively easy to play. here is a video of my very first attempt to play this song:
Attempt #1:
Reflection:
personally, i believe that my skills have greatly improved since my first time playing simple songs. Although my skills are still rusty, I have improved in a sense that i have become more comfortable in playing guitar. as i move along the fret, my fingers flow more naturally than before. I used to always have to hesitate when placing my fingers on the correct notes. Unfortunately, my bad habits aren't improving as much as i want them to. My fingers would be overly bent sometimes and cover other strings. this makes the tone quality sound nasty. I also need to learn how to tune the notes. I could tell the notes are out of tune and that sometimes confuses me when i play the right note but it sounds wrong. Tune in next time to my next step to Progress!!
Thank You for enduring my not so great Guitar Playing !!
